The sudden and unexpected death of the amazing Allen Strange has impacted so many people in so many ways. He was a friend, father, husband, teacher, colleague and to some who knew him well a darn good cook! Allen's life is being honored in so many ways by so many people.
For the sake of time I have put this Blog together to share information and offer a communication portal for upcoming events surrounding the ongoing memorial for Allen.

Involved with music technology since the middle 1960's Allen Strange remained active as a composer, performer, author, educator, father and husband until his final days. Allen Strange passed away in February ’08 from Cancer. This was sudden and completely unexpected. I wanted to start this blog to share information about his upcoming memorial service in San Jose California. Please keep checking back for details. Nothing would honor Allen more then a huge party with food and laughter!

i still use allen's sangrita recipe...wonderful memories
of eating lunch everyday with him in a small restaurant in guanajuato,mexico...he practically "owned" the place...was back in the kitchen everyday with the cooks!...have a great time tomorrow, sorry i cannot be there.

I just hope his book "Electronic Music" does not die. Someone needs to republish it ASAP. Copies on Amazon go for >400$. Although I know he was not as interested in the analog stuff as much in later years it could be one of his greatest legacies. However without the book being available to people it could fade into the beautiful bog of time. Please release this masterwork again!
